Make a Pilgrim!

Bismillaahir-Rahmaanir-Raheem

Tomorrow is the day of at-Tarwiyah inshaaAllaah!   How fun is it when your little salafi goes through the Hajj with the real Hujjaaj! Be ready by printing yourself this little Haaji, laminate him, cut the pieces out, use some tach to assemble him together and enjoy putting his ihraam on, shaving his hair and putting a thawb on him!

You'll need a map of some sort to explain where he will go inshaaAllaah.

QUICK! If you print him out today inshaa'Allaah, he can do his `umrah and therefore perform Hajj tamattu' tomorrow inshaa'Allaah!

Download here!

Alif Workbook

Bismillaahir-Rahmaanir-Raheem

Here's a small alif workbook. There aren't as many pages as baa because alif by itself is not a consonant, so no words can begin with it.  It is a long vowel, known as a madd in arabic.

Some books refer to this letter as an alif:

أ
But this is actually a hamzah which is just using the alif as it's "seat". You will also find it sometimes sitting on the waw and yaa:
ؤ   ئ
To study further, you are recommended to study the course offered at learnarabic.com. Click here for the explanation of the alif.

I hope I have explained the issue clearly.  May Allaah increase us all in knowledge.  Aameen.

Quraan Worksheet: Letter C

Bismillaahir-Rahmaanir-Raheem

It's been quite a long time since my last post.  Homeschooling in Ramadhaan continued however. After the pre-writing series of worksheets, we started to learn how to write the letter 'c'.

Why did I choose c before a? Simply because many letters begin with the shape of 'c', such as 'a', 'd', 'g' and 'q'.  The uppercase and lowercase also resemble each other.  So it makes it easier for the child to start with c.

Fasting Tummy Pre-Writing Worksheet

Bismillaahir-Rahmaanir-Raheem

Fasting Tummy poem from islam4kids.com:

O my tummy! Do not eat!
Be strong this day on your feet!
Leave your drink and leave your meal
And think of how the hungry feel!

O my tummy! Take no drink!
Keep a fast, for others think
Not a drop will reach their lips
Though before you water drips.

We must help the hungry, poor
Give them food and things much more
When we all fast then indeed
We think of those in need!

Here is a pre-writing worksheet I made to go with the poem.
